Skitouring is a sport where uphill hiking, which requires efficient and lightweight equipment, and downhill skiing, which demands a safe release system, are brought together.

The actual ski-binding market is polarized between very light uphill oriented bindings with a poor release mechanism and heavy downhill oriented bindings with a better release mechanism, thereby, forcing the user to make a trade-off between the two. Project Vision: Take a different approach by integrating the touring function in the boot (TouringBoot) in order to provide the user with a natural and efficient walking motion without compromising the downhill performance.
