Tian (Tim) Chen is a doctoral student in the department of mechanical and process engineering at ETH Zurich. His research focuses on generating and optimizing multi-objective lattice structures considering structural requirements, geometric and additive manufacturing constraints and constraints.

Prior to ETHZ, Tim graduated from Delft University of Technology in 2014, and was employed as a structural engineering at Arup in Amsterdam. He completed his bachelor studies at University of Toronto, Canada.
