Maxime Escande

Maxime Escande is a doctoral student at the EDAC laboratory. He received his bachelor’s degree and first master’s degree in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Paris in 2019 and 2020. He received his second master’s degree in mechanical engineering from ETH Zürich in 2022. He first worked at the Engineering Design and Computing Laboratory as a scientific assistant with Yu Zhang on her project of low-cost sustainable dwellings in low-resource settings. His research focuses on the design of appropriate technologies and low technologies: useful, available, and sustainable solutions.
