Design Automation Task Definition

Task definition problem

The aim of this project is to foster the transition of design automation methods stemming from academia into industry by focusing on the task definition phase. First, it provides a comprehensive categorization of design automation tasks featuring state-of-the-art design automation methods. Second, it enables estimation of the potential benefits the application of a specific method to a task. Third, a SysML-based method and tool for guided task formalization is developed that enables practitioners to more readily formalize design automation tasks and select appropriate design automation methods.
